All dogs are different and each task you do with your dog may require a different wardrobe!
For example, I love the look of my lab's crystal covered leather collar, but I wouldn't go hunting or swimming with her in that collar. Yes, it'll hold up and withstand the hunt easily, but the water might change the color of the leather and amount of time needed to clean all the gunk off of that collar would be time consuming. Instead I save her fancy leather collar for when she needs to be fancy and I put her rugged all weather biothane collar on her when she goes hunting and swimming.
The life expectancy of a collar depends on how many things!
- Type of dog and their hobbies
- Do they have allergies and itch often
- How oily of a coat does your dog have?
- Improper use and cleaning
- Type of material the collar is made out of. (biothane/leather vs fabric collars)

The guarantee covers craftsmanship and material defects only and does not include damage caused by any of the following:
- Improper use or misuse of the product
- Damage caused by chewing, cleaning, disassembly, alterations, or modifications
- Damage caused by or resulting from normal wear and tear, abuse, or fire
- Damage caused by fellow canine housemates
